Is-sinjal għal PPE jew APPARAT PROTETTIV għandu tlett partijiet. (i) Fl-ewwel parti jsir is-sinjal għal MASKRA. L-idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ L kkurvata li jiltaqgħu quddiem il-wiċċ bil-pala ta’ id tħares lejn il-pala tal-id l-oħra. Il-werrejja jibdew minn fuq l-imnieħer u s-swaba’ l-kbar minn taħt il-geddum. L-idejn jersqu bil-mod lejn il-ġnub tal-wiċċ u jieqfu qrib il-widnejn. (ii) It-tieni parti ssir bl-idejn forma ta’ ponn li jmissu vertikalment kontra xulxin imbagħad jinbidlu forma ta’ 5 u pala tmiss il-pala l-oħra vertikalment kontra xulxin. (iii) Fl-aħħar isir is-sinjal għal VISOR. L-idejn, forma ta’ 5, jiltaqgħu quddiem il-wiċċ bil-pala tħares ’il ġewwa u jimxu lura d-dawra tal-wiċċ. Ġieli jintuzaw is-sinjali tal-ittri P, P u E wara xulxin minflok.
The sign for PPE or PROTECTIVE APPAREL has three parts. The first part is the sign for MASK which is made with both hands in the shape of curved L which meet in front of the face with palms facing each other. The index fingers start over the nose and the thumbs from under the chin. The hands move slowly towards the sides of the face and stop near the ears. (ii) The second part is made with both hands in the shape of fists that brush against each other vertically. Then the palms open into the shape of 5 and the palms brush against each other vertically. (iii) Finally, the sign for VISOR is made. The hands, in the shape of 5, meet in front of the face with palms facing inwards and then move round the sides of the face. Sometimes the signs for the letters P, P and E are used instead.
